WPL auction set for Nov 27 as 277 players enter race for selection

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 auction will feature 277 players competing for 73 available slots when bidding begins in New Delhi on 27 November at 3:30 pm. The list, released on Wednesday, includes 194 Indian players and 83 overseas cricketers, with each of the five franchises allowed to build squads of up to 18 players.
WPL 2025 champions Mumbai Indians
Of the Indian contingent, 52 are capped and 142 uncapped, with 50 positions available to them. Among overseas options, 66 capped and 17 uncapped players will bid to fill 23 foreign slots. The marquee opening set includes eight stars: Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh, Sophie Devine, Sophie Ecclestone, Alyssa Healy, Amelia Kerr, Meg Lanning, and Laura Wolvaardt.
