Staff of Cong old HQ stare at job losses after opening of new HQ

After the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters on Kotla Road, hundreds of employees who have worked at the old headquarters on 24 Akbar Road for years are now facing uncertainty about their jobs.

Many of these employees have served as party staff for generations.

However, with the new headquarters now operational, reports suggest that only a select few of the old staff will be retained, while the majority may be offered voluntary retirement schemes (VRS).

Although party spokespeople have denied these reports, the rumors have sparked growing concern among the employees, with many feeling increasingly anxious about their future. The staff members have been kept away from the new headquarters so far, with little clarity regarding their roles in the new setup.

Amidst these tensions, one individual, Manish Chatrath, has emerged in the spotlight. Previously sidelined at 24 Akbar Road, Chatrath is now seen as a key figure at the new headquarters.
