Punjab Gets One More Day To Respond To Haryana's Claim On Bhakra Waters

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday gave the Punjab government one more day to reply in the case about releasing more water to Haryana, emphasizing that the last chance for Punjab to respond.
The division bench comprising Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Sumeet Goel granted the state of Punjab one day's time to respond to the assertions made.
This case is about an earlier High Court order on May 6, which asked Punjab to release extra water to Haryana due to a water shortage. On the other hand, Centre, Haryana and Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) opposed Punjab's plea for recalling the High Court's May 6 order.
