PM MODI KICKS OFF 'VIBRANT GUJARAT GLOBAL TRADE SHOW'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tueday inaugurated the country’s largest Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show under VGGS-2024 in Gandhinagar.

PM Modi inaugurated the Global Trade Show by turning on the switch and unveiling the plaque in the presence of the President of Mozambique Phillip Nyusi, President of Timor Leste Jose Manuel Ramos, Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel.

The Prime Minister will hold a meeting with CEOs of top global corporations. He will then travel to GIFT City where he will interact with prominent business leaders in the Global FinTech Leadership Forum.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was started in 2003 under the leadership of Modi when he was the state chief minister.

The trade show showcases state-of-the-art products and services in sectors such as agro and food processing, automobiles and auto components, ceramics, chemicals and petrochemicals, gems and jewellery, pharmaceuticals, ports and marine.

Industries including textiles and garments, electric vehicles, green hydrogen, aircraft and allied industries, renewable energy, semiconductors and ESDM, fintech, cyber security, AI, machine learning will be the centers of attraction of this trade show.

Apart from this, 13 different themes including 'Make in Gujarat', 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' have been decided in the trade show in a total of 13 halls.

Approximately 450 MSME units are participating to realise the Prime Minister's resolution of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. Women empowerment, MSME development, new technology, green and smart infrastructure, sustainable energy etc. will be given special focus in this exhibition.
