In a high-scoring thriller at Eden Gardens on April 8, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) edged past Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by just four runs, jumping to fourth place in the IPL 2025 points table.
Batting first, LSG put up a massive total of 238/3. Mitchell Marsh led the charge with a stunning 81 off 48 balls, well supported by Aiden Markram (47 off 28) and Nicholas Pooran, who hammered 40* off just 13 deliveries. The finishing touches were provided by David Miller and Abdul Samad, ensuring LSG crossed the 230-mark. Despite KKR using seven bowlers, they failed to contain the onslaught, with Andre Russell and Harshit Rana managing a wicket each.
