J&K among first to fully implement NEP: LG Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday inaugurated the NEP Conclave-2025, organised by the Higher Education Department, and lauded the collective efforts of all stakeholders in ensuring the swift and effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Calling it a “matter of pride,” Sinha said J&K is among the first regions in India to implement the NEP across all higher educational institutions. He praised the dedication of universities, colleges, and educators for fostering an academic ecosystem that encourages innovation and research.

“We are building a future-ready academic environment - one that is inclusive, innovative, and impactful. Our aim is to empower every student in J&K to realise their potential, uphold the spirit of Viksit Bharat @2047, and contribute to the nation’s growth story,” the LG said.
