IIT Madras tops in overall category, IISc Bengaluru best university TDG NETWORK

For the sixth consecutive year, IIT Madras has topped in both the ‘overall’ and ‘engineering’ categories in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, while IISc Bengaluru has retained the first position in the university category.

Hindu College, Delhi, is ranked number 1 in the college category, with Miranda House in the second position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 released on Monday by the Ministry of Education.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru has been ranked as the best university for the past nine years. JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi are in the second and third positions, respectively, in the university category.
IISc Bangalore has also been recognised as the second-best institution in the ‘overall’ category.
While IIT Madras bagged the first position as the top engineering institute, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay clinched the second and third positions, respectively.
