ED puts SSPL under lens over foreign funds and travel

As the Enforcement Directorate tightened its probe into the alleged misuse of foreign funds by Ghaziabad-based Satat Sampada Private Limited (SSPL), News X spoke exclusively to the company's directors, Harjeet Singh and Jyoti Awasthi, as questions mounted over foreign travel, funding trails and financial conduct.

The ED, invoking provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, has alleged that SSPL received over 6 crore in foreign remittances between 2021 and 2025, funds it claims were routed under the guise of consultancy services. The agency further alleges that the money was used to influence narratives linked to energy policy and the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Facing News X, Harjeet Singh pushed back strongly against the allegations.
"There is complete transparency in all my work finances," Singh said, calling the ED's conclusions a result of "miscommunication and misinterpretation".
