DELHI HIGH COURT SENTENCED BUSINESS TYCOON'S SON TO 3 MONTHS PRISON FOR FAILURE TO PAY MAINTENANCE TO EX-PARTNER'

The Delhi High Court in the case KD v. VS observed and has sentences the son of business Tycoon’s to three months in prison for failing to pay maintenance to a woman, who in the case alleged that he performed a sham marriage ceremony with her, which being despite of the judicial order while recording his undertaking to pay the same.

The Division bench comprising of Justice Suresh Kumar and Justice Neena Bansal Krishna in the case observed and has imposed the fine for an amount of 2000 on the man and directed the SHO of Tilak Marg Police Station for issuing warrants of arrest against him.
The bench in the case observed and has stated in its order to Look Out Circular which is being issued against the man after it has been submitted by his counsel that he was not in India and will not be able to appear before the court.
