Congress on Monday sharpened its attack on the Centre after US President Donald Trump warned of swift tariff hikes on Indian imports.
The Congress on Monday stepped up its attack on the Narendra Modi-led government after US President Donald Trump warned that Washington could raise tariffs on Indian imports “very quickly”, claiming New Delhi had reduced purchases of Russian oil to keep him “happy”.
Congress general secretary and communications in-charge Jairam Ramesh said Trump continued a “blow hot, blow cold” approach towards India, adding that years of public bonhomie — including the Namaste Trump and Howdy Modi events — had delivered little diplomatic or economic benefit.
