AMIT SHAH UNVEILS RS 825 CR PROJECTS AND NEW DAIRY PLANT IN HARYANA
The Daily Guardian
|October 04, 2025
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday launched projects worth over Rs 825 crore in Haryana, while urging citizens to adopt khadi and hailing the state as the first to implement India's new criminal laws.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, takes a round of the Sabar Dairy Plant in Rohtak on October 3, 2025.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Friday accused the Congress of neglecting khadi after independence and failing to uphold Mahatma Gandhi's swadeshi vision, as he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 825 crore across Haryana, including the country's largest cooperative dairy plant in Rohtak.
Speaking at the Khadi Artisan Mahotsav in Kurukshetra, Shah underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to revive khadi and village industries. "In 2014-15, their turnover stood at Rs 33,000 crore. Today it has risen to Rs 1.70 lakh crore. Every rupee goes to our weavers and artisans, unlike corporates where profits stay confined to boardrooms," he said.
Urging citizens to spend at least Rs 5,000 annually on khadi, Shah added, "When we wear khadi, we don't just wear fabric; we embrace Gandhi's vision and the spirit of self-reliance."
