Revitalised shopping centre is new restaurant and retail hub

ONCE run-down shopping centre is enjoying a resurgence with a swathe of new shops and restaurants opening.
Wharfside, in Penzance, has welcomed a number of new independent businesses in recent months, with more on the horizon.
Last year the family-run Cork and Fork restaurant and wine bar, which opened in the town in 2021, relocated to Wharfside and it's now been joined by Thai Moon, running since 2006 and previously on Penzance's Promenade.
Also due to move in is Fred's, a microbrewery and pizzeria.
The Wharfside Shopping Centre opened in 1999 and for many years was a hotspot for well-known chain stores, as well as a few local independent shops and eateries.
