Two elephants left in park following death of new arrival

An African elephant that had recently been reunited with one of its sisters died at Karachi Safari Park in southern Pakistan, the park said yesterday.

Park director Syed Amjad Hussain Zaidi said an autopsy would be conducted for the animal in the coming days.

Sonia, the elephant, was doing well at her last health check-up about 10 days ago, he said, noting that the Austrian NGO Four Paws had visited her at the end of last month.
