WAFCON: Super Eagles in Banyana's Way as They Chase Spot in Final

Banyana Banyana face the sternest test yet of the defence of their continental title when they take on familiar foe Nigeria in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) semifinals this evening.

Desiree Ellis' Banyana will need to have recovered quickly from a hard-fought quarterfinal battle with Senegal, which they eventually won on penalties.

Randy Waldrum's Nigeria, by contrast, romped to a 5-0 win over Zambia to book their place in the last four. If the Super Falcons are more rested than Banyana today at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, however, it is Banyana who may just have the psychological edge.
