Major winner Justin Rose yesterday echoed Rory Mc Ilroy"s stance on European stars not being paid to play in the Ryder Cup, saying "we play for the badge"

Northern Ireland"s Mc Ilroy said last week he would "pay to play" for Europe in the Ryder Cup in the wake of reports that American golfers will each receive $400 ooo to compete in next year"s contest.
Mc Ilroy said Europe"s finest do not need financial incentives to give their all in the biennial match against the United States.
