LINE-UP: THREE G1 WINNERS CONFIRMED TO SQUARE OFF IN POTENT FIELD
Only nine runners will be lining up in Saturday's World Sports Betting Guineas (Grade 2) over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville, but the good news is that all three Grade 1 winners have been declared for the final field.
Cape Derby and Cape Town Met winner Eight On Eighteen heads up the field and he will be joined by Premier's Champions Challenge champion Fire Attack and Horse Chestnut Stakes victor Cosmic Speed.
While Eight On Eighteen and Fire Attack's Grade 1 wins were over 2000m, Sean Tarry-trained Cosmic Speed's victory was over 1600m.
With only nine runners in the field all three have landed up with decent draws so that will not be a factor.
Richard Fourie will be aboard Justin Snaith-trained Eight On Eighteen with Calvin Habib picking up the ride on Alec Laird's charge, Fire Attack. Craig Zackey is up on Cosmic Speed.
Fatal Flaw was not declared for the WSB Fillies Guineas but there is a full field of 14 runners in the final line-up.
Tarry-trained Green Sapphire brings solid form into the race but has a tricky draw to overcome whereas the highly rated VJ's Angel, trained by Tony Peter, will jump from pole position.
