Amiraculous recovery by the lock could see a change in the team to face the All Blacks.
Springbok enforcer Eben Etzebeth is still very much in the mix to face the All Blacks, despite not making the match 23 named yesterday by coach Rassie Erasmus for the important Rugby Championship clash at Ellis Park on Saturday.
While Etzebeth trained on Monday, he was excluded from the team because of a back problem. But the Boks were to make a final call on the veteran locks' availability this morning.
"We announced (the team to the players) on Monday morning internally, with Eben out, because our policy is that if you can't train on a Monday, you can't play on a Saturday.
