Vaughan Marshall has been around for a long time and along with the likes of Ormond Ferraris, has always trained a high standard.
Not only has he done well with the horses he has trained but has sometimes done even better with their progeny, with One World and William Longsword proving that point.
He had some outstanding horseflesh in his yard last season with L'Omarins King's Plate winner One Stripe leading the way. He has now gone overseas to continue his career but one has to believe Marshall has one or two waiting in the wings to replace him.
