SUNDERLAND'S Premier League meeting with Manchester United on Saturday will have huge implications for both clubs - but a Black Cats victory could see the end of Ruben Amorim's time at Old Trafford.

The Wearsiders head to the North West in fine form, having started their Premier League campaign in impressive fashion.

Last weekend's 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest was the latest in a series of big results which has seen Regis Le Bris' side climb to the fifth in the table after the opening six games.

By contrast, Man United have failed to turn their form around, despite spending huge amounts in the summer transfer window, signing the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Senne Lammens and Diego Leon.

Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Brentford left Amorim's side languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, while they suffered the humiliation of being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Grimsby Town.
