Protest as Farage visits bar

Farage was spotted going into a popular Newcastle bar on Friday lunchtime.The Reform UK leader was seen entering Hibou Blanc, on High Bridge, for a private function shortly after noon.

His arrival on Tyneside attracted a small crowd of about a dozen protesters, who brandished signs with slogans such as “far right swine out the Tyne” and shouted “shame on you” as Mr Farage stepped out of a black Range Rover and made his way into the bar.

It also caused a stir in the busy Beehive pub opposite, where drinkers were left bemused by the commotion outside.
