Man had to 'rip his hand' from powerful dog's mouth after feeding it

42-YEAR-OLD NEEDED 30 STITCHES AFTER ATTACK

STITCHED up and terrified, this is the state a once dog-loving man was left in after a savage attack.

David Baldwin had been feeding his friend's neighbour's Belgian Malinois through a fence when the once friendly animal turned on him and sunk his teeth into his hand and arm.

David needed 30 stitches following the horrifying encounter with the dog, on the night of Friday, August 1.

And now the 42-year-old has told The Chronicle how the ordeal has left him afraid of dogs.

He said: "I just don’t want to go anywhere near a dog now.

“As soon as I hear one bark I'm on edge. I used to love dogs. That dog shouldn't be living on a council estate where there's lots of families around, that’s my concern."
