HORSE POWER Novice hurdler could be a safe Betty for O’Brien

BLUE Betty could bring a touch of class to Huntingdon as she steps out over hurdles for the first time in the PricedUp Daily Racing Boosts Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.

Fergal O’Brien’s daughter of Blue Bresil is held in the highest regard and looked a smart prospect when bolting up in her opening bumper at Newcastle before switching to Grade Two company at Aintree’s Grand National meeting.

She was well beaten on that occasion but had a valid excuse as she was reported to be lame after the race.

This track should play to her strengths and O’Brien has won this race the past two years, unleashing Dysart Enos over hurdles in 2023 before returning to double up with recent Cheltenham winner Leloopa 12 months ago.
