VICTIM WAS RAPED WHILE SHE WAS ASLEEP
A RAPIST who left a woman feeling "degraded and broken" after attacking her in her sleep has been jailed.
Peter Esen took advantage of the victim's vulnerability after she dozed off on a sofa at a house after a night out.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that the woman ended up back at the house after drinking alcohol and recalls feeling and being sick before being on the sofa.
Her next recollection is waking up to find her lower clothing had been removed and that she was naked from the waist down. Esen had raped her while she was unconscious.

The producers of Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing must have been rubbing their hands with glee when they saw the rough cut of this first episode: a glimpse of the countryside, a nice burst of birdsong, sounds of a man and a woman laughing and then... two people naked in a shower.
