The Federal Government has thrown its weight behind the upcoming nationwide Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign scheduled for October 2025, pledging robust communication and advocacy support to ensure its success.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by officials of the Centre for Well-Being and Integrated Nutrition Solutions (C-WINS) to his office on Tuesday.
Describing the campaign as a life-saving public health initiative, Idris said the Ministry—along with agencies under its purview including the National Orientation Agency and public media institutions—will help drive public awareness and promote accurate information about the dangers of rubella and the importance of vaccination.
