Kellanova, formerly known as The Kellogg Company, is facing challenges with sluggish sales and declining profits in India.

Despite efforts to expand its market presence, the company is struggling in a market that favours traditional, savoury breakfast options over its ready-to-eat cereals.
Since opening its first manufacturing plant in India in 1994 and a second unit in 2016, Kellanova has also established a research and development centre to cater to the Indian and Asia-Pacific markets. Four years ago, the company introduced Indianstyle breakfast products like upma to appeal to local tastes. However, this strategy has yet to yield significant results.
