The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended for the appointment of three High Court judges of Himachal Pradesh High Court, namely, Ranjan Sharma, Bipin Chander Negi and Rakesh Kainthla.

The Judicial Officer:
Rakesh Kainthla
The Supreme Court Collegium bench comprising of CJI DY Chandrachud and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Sanjiv Khanna had recommended the names for their appointment as the judges of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh in consultation with his two senior-most colleagues had earlier made the recommendation on December 05, 2022 and also the Chief Minister and the Governor of the State of Himachal Pradesh had concurred with the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium.
