Supreme Court Clarifies: Delhi High Court CJ Commenced Inquiry; Collegium Yet To Recommend Transfer | Justice Yashwant Verma Issue

The case was allegedly recovered from the Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Verma residence.

The Supreme Court has now come out with certain official clarifications.
The Supreme Court made the following clarifications:
1. The Delhi High Court Chief Justice commenced in-house enquiry procedure, which being prior to the meeting of the Supreme Court Collegium on March 20. The Delhi High Court Chief Justice, CJ will submit report to CJI and further action will be taken based on it.
2. Pending enquiry, Justice Verma is proposed to be transferred from Delhi High Court, as his presence at the Delhi HC might hamper the process. It was also clarified that the proposal to transfer is independent of the in-house enquiry procedure.
