Reliance to launch luxury 'Swadesh' stores globally

Reliance Retail, a major player in India’s retail industry, is gearing up to introduce a chain of upscale stores under its “Swadesh” brand, focusing on luxury ethnic handicrafts.

These stores will not only cater to the Indian market but also have international expansion in their sights. The offerings in these stores will encompass a wide range of products, including fusion clothing, jewellery, blue pottery, silverware, home decor, and carpets, all showcasing exquisite ethnic craftsmanship.

To advance this endeavour, Reliance Retail is in talks with high-end designers and artisans from around the world, seeking strategic partnerships. While the company has not yet disclosed the specific countries where the Swadesh brand will debut, it’s expected that major Indian cities will likely host these stores.
