Private equity investment in Indian real estate rose 35% year-on-year to $748 million in Q1 2025, led by strong residential demand, according to Savills India.

Private equity investment inflows into the Indian real estate sector were recorded at USD 748 million (Rs 64 billion) during January-March 2025, registering a 35 per cent increase year-on-year, according to the latest data released by Savills India, a global real estate consulting firm.

The quarterly findings highlighted that residential assets led the market, accounting for approximately 51 per cent of the total investment volume. The majority of this capital was directed toward Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi-NCR, underlining the continued momentum and demand in key Tier I cities, according to Savills.
