KEJRIWAL SLAMS BJP'S 'DOUBLE-ENGINE GOVT OVER RISING INSECURITY
The Business Guardian
|January 17, 2025
AP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal strongly condemned the fatal attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, describing it as a glaring example of the deteriorating law and order situation under BJP-led governments at both state and central levels.
-
Highlighting systemic failures, Kejriwal criticized the BJP's inability to ensure public safety, even for high-profile individuals, and called their governance a failure. He questioned the BJP's capability to govern effectively, pointing to rising crime, rampant gangster activities, and increasing insecurity across the country.
Speaking to the media, Kejriwal shared details of the incident, stating that unidentified assailants broke into Saif Ali Khan's home through a window and attacked him six times with knives. The actor is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. "We pray for his speedy recovery, but it is alarming that such a prominent actor, living in what should be a secure home, could be attacked in this manner. This raises serious concerns about the state and central governments' ability to ensure security," he said.
