Insecticides India to invest Rs 150 cr in next 2 yrs on capacity expansion

Rajesh Aggarwal, the managing director of Insecticides India Ltd (IIL), announced on Sunday that the company will invest Rs 150 crore in capacity expansion in Rajasthan and Gujarat over the next two years and introduce new insecticide and herbicide products before 'Navratri'.

In the next two years, the company would invest approximately Rs 100 crore for the construction of a new facility at Sotanala in the Behror region of Rajasthan, according to Aggarwal.
"Last week, we acquired 15acre plant at Sotanala in Behror district. Lot of sheds are already there and we plan to manufacture agro-chemicals. We will invest about Rs 100 crore investment here in the next two years," he said.
The plant will be implemented in phases and the work might commence by year-end, he said adding this is a second plant in Rajasthan and the other one is located at Chopanki which is up and functioning.
