Hindustan Zinc partners with AEsir Tech on next-gen batteries

Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) announced a strategic partnership with US-based AEsir Technologies, Inc., to advance the development of next-generation zinc batteries.

This collaboration, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), designates HZL as the preferred supplier of zinc, a crucial raw material for AEsir's innovative battery technologies.
The MoU aligns with Hindustan Zinc's commitment to exploring new applications of zinc within the clean energy sector. Zinc batteries are gaining traction in the energy storage market due to their unique advantages, including corrosion resistance, cost-effectiveness, recyclability, stability, and environmental benefits.
HZL highlighted that this partnership supports their broader efforts to drive the clean energy transition.
"This partnership with AEsir Technologies is yet another step in our ongoing developmental work in the emerging clean technology space. By providing highquality zinc for cuttingedge energy storage, we are opening sophisticated new avenues for environmentally friendly solutions for a greener tomorrow," stated Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc Ltd.
