King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, embarked on a significant two-day official visit to India, underscoring the close and enduring ties between the two nations.
Accompanied by Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck, the royal couple arrived in New Delhi on Thursday and received a warm welcome from External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
This visit marks another chapter in the deep and unique friendship shared by India and Bhutan.
Upon their arrival, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar greeted the King and Queen of Bhutan, setting a cordial tone for the visit.
In a post on social media platform X, Jaishankar expressed honor at welcoming King Wangchuck, emphasizing that the visit would further strengthen the "unique bonds of friendship" between the two countries.
