GOVERNMENT FILLS 700,000 POSITIONS THROUGH 11 ROZGAR MELAS

In a concerted effort to address employment challenges, the Central government has conducted 11 Rojgar Melas, or job fairs, between October 2022 and November 30 this year, resulting in the recruitment of nearly 700,000 individuals. This data, sourced directly from the government, highlights an ongoing push to bolster job opportunities across various sectors.

The recruitment initiative gained momentum following an announcement made in June 2022 by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). In response to protests against the Agniveer scheme for armed forces recruitments, the PMO, via a post on the social media platform X, pledged the recruitment of a million individuals within the span of 1.5 years. With this timeline set to culminate by the end of this month, the recent figures indicate significant progress toward this ambitious target.
