VP Sara denies ties to Madriaga

Vice President Sara Duterte has denied any personal connection to Ramil Madriaga, who recently surfaced claiming to be her former aide and alleged bagman, dismissing his accusations as a desperate attempt to secure his release from detention.
In a statement, Duterte stressed she neither visited Madriaga in prison nor spoke to him about anything.
“I do not have a personal relationship with Ramil Madriaga, nor have I ever given him instructions of any kind. I have never visited him in prison, nor have I spoken to him about anything at any time,” Duterte said on Monday, Dec. 22.
