Swift deportation for former POGO workers – BI

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Monday, April 14, vowed to speed up the deportation of foreign workers of the now banned Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
The expeditious deportation was assured by BI Commissioner Joel Anthony M. Viado after 84 Chinese POGO workers were sent back to their country last April 11.
The BI noted that the 84 Chinese were arrested during government operations against POGO facilities in Tarlac, Cebu, and Parañaque City.
