POLICE: PASIG PROTESTERS MAY FACE CHARGES

Police said on Thursday, Sept. 4, that protesters who threw mud and vandalized the gate of St. Gerrard Construction office -- owned by the Discaya family -- may face charges of malicious mischief.

Pasig City Police Station Chief Hendrix Mangaldan said in a media interview that, with or without a permit, authorities will exercise maximum tolerance.

However, incidents such as mud-throwing and vandalism should not be tolerated.

"Kasi, they might be committing the case of malicious mischief," he said, adding that these actions are punishable by law.
