HOUSE TO INVITE FPRRD TO SONA

The House of Representatives will still send a formal invitation to former President Rodrigo Duterte for the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 28, as a matter of protocol.
House Secretary General Reginald Velasco confirmed the move to reporters on Thursday, June 19, while acknowledging Duterte's current incarceration in The Hague, Netherlands. The former leader is facing trial before the United Nations (UN)-backed International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged crimes against humanity in connection with his bloody war on drugs.
