DPWH taps PNP, AFP in flood control probe

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will deploy the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to help investigate thousands of flood control projects flagged for irregularities.
DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, in a television interview on Friday, Sept. 12, said the agency cannot manage the inspections on its own and will depend on the support of the police and military.
