Dawlah Islamiyah bomb expert killed in Maguindanao clash

The military announced on Monday, December 8, that it is pursuing the remaining member of the Dawlah Islamiyah-Hassan Group (DI-HG) following the death of its most senior leader and top bomb expert in an operation in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur on Sunday, Dec. 7.
Ustads Mohammad Usman Solaiman, known as the “amir” or leader of the DI-HG, was killed in an encounter with elements of the 601st Infantry Brigade (601Bde) in Barangay Satan, according to Brigadier General Edgar Catu, commander of the 601Bde.
