Ealham plays captain's innings as Priory take two-wicket victory
Surrey Mirror
|June 05, 2025
REIGATE Priory captain George Ealham guided his side to a fine two wicket success at Banstead in Surrey Championship Premier Division with three balls to spare.
-
Having been set a target of 241, Ealham saw his side slip to 234-5 to 238-8, but Ealham, coming in at three, brought up his century before hitting a six to seal a nail-biting vic tory for the Llamas.
On a hot day at Banstead, the hosts won the toss and decided to bat. Fraser Sheat and Surrey’s James Taylor were opening the bowling and kept it tight, restricting Banstead to 45-1 after 10 overs before, in the middle overs, Priory’s spinners came on and bowled economically.
