IN an exciting announcement for Surrey's outdoor swimmers, the management behind Guildford Lido have announced this week that the popular 1930s outdoor pool will now be open "all-year round", with two programmes encompassing the summer and winter seasons.

Just recently, the lido was named as one of the UK's top ten best outdoor pools, and now swimmers will be able to enjoy the 50-metre pool outside of the summer.

Guildford Lido's operators, Freedom Leisure, has announced it is making the popular swimming location an 'All Year-Round' destination.

With the launch of a new winter programme which will begin on October 1, 2025, as well as the extension of the summer programme which will last until September 30.

These changes will see a return to the pre-pandemic operations of the Lido, which was previously open all year from 2014 until the forced-closure brought on by Covid restrictions.
