A TOUCH OF GLASS

As Apple unveils the latest software updates for its devices we take a closer look at what's on the way

APPLE revealed some major updates for all its software platforms at its annual developers conference this week.

From a new design system across the board, to new apps and more Apple Intelligence features, there were changes that touch every corner of Apple's ecosystem.

We'll look at the changes coming to the devices over the coming months as the release of the software in the autumn gets closer.

But for now here are the highlights from what Apple CEO Tim Cook and his multitude of fellow presenters showed off this week.

LIQUID GLASS

There’s a new design coming to all of Apple’s platforms, which it is calling Liquid Glass.

The new look features more transparency to items like buttons, menus, text and controls... and as the “liquid” name suggests, the user interface elements will animate in a “liquid” way.
