Residents fight bus service changes leaving elderly and disabled hard hit

The change to the Stagecoach bus routes, which came into force on Sunday, now sees no numbers 10 and 11 buses stop on Midmoor Road.

Stagecoach have defended the changes saying it is due to "longstanding parking difficulties" and highlighted the service is available to use on other parallel roads.

However, Mr Carter says that due to his disability he is unable to walk the distance to the other bus stops.

He said: "I am disabled and can only walk a short distance. The change has removed my ability to access a convenient stop, leaving me reliant on taxis I can ill afford.

"My wife is also struggling, and this decision has created real distress for us both."
