Tougher rules to keep electric vehicles off the pavements

The Department of Transport has confirmed it is planning new laws to regulate the use of electric scooters and bikes.

It confirmed new legislation will be brought forward after the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) joined calls for tougher regulations to combat e-scooters being ridden or parked on pavements-saying they causing fear and danger for pedestrians with restricted sight.
