Hospital chiefs aim to Connect with community to shape future of NHS

People in Sunderland are being invited to 'click and Connect' with the people running local healthcare services.
South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust has launched Connect - a new online space where people can get actively involved in shaping the future of local NHS services.
The Trust runs Sunderland Royal Hospital, South Tyneside District Hospital and a range of other centres in Jarrow, Houghton, Washington and Durham, Sunderland Eye Infirmary and St Benedict's Hospice.
The new online community aims to give people the chance to have their say through short polls, surveys and discussions about health issues which matter to them.
It will also allow them to share their experiences, add ideas and suggest how to improve care in the area.
