De Zoysa helps ease Boldon to home win

Boldon stood firm in their Readers Durham & North East Cricket League Division One clash at home to Durham City to clinch a deserved victory.

Boldon batted first and made 216-6. Joseph Forster made 52, and Quentin Boatswain 51, but Lohan De Zoysa was top scorer with 74, while Jim Twiddy took 3-46.

City then had Joe Twiddy make 30 and Thomas Reynolds 70, as Boatswain claimed 3-16 and De Zoysa 3-24 and they were just short on 199 all out.

Esh Winning batted first at Boldon CA and lost early wickets, but Heider Zaman made an excellent 108 from 105 balls with 16 fours and a six included and Jake Louth added 65 in a final total of 265-6.
