Swalwell see off Morpeth to claim title

IN the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League, Swalwell batted first in the big game at the top against Morpeth and posted 217-9, thanks to Jonty Barnes making 36 and William Phillips scoring 58 not out.

Blaydon were 170 all out at home to AInmouth & Lesbury, as Joseph Reynolds made a fine 93 and Sam Henderson 35, while Nick Denton and Chalana De Silva shared six wickets between themselves.

A&L then had Laurie Robson make 40, but then Drew Robertson claimed 4-16 and Henderson with the ball took 4-34 and they were all out for 141.
