BARRY Burrell will be hoping to continue his winning streak this weekend as the ROKIT OFF BMW F 900 R Cup continues at Cadwell Park.

- ZOE BURN

Burrell, born and bred in County Durham, took his first win of the season at Thruxton a fortnight ago, after a couple of unlucky rounds where he just missed out on victory for various reasons.

But following his strong win last time out, Burrell hit the ground running yesterday as the pack hit Cadwell Park for the first time this year, powering to the fastest lap in first practice.

His lap of Imin 34.202s put him 1.352secs clear of championship leader Nikki Coates, while South Shields’ Josh Corner proved he is getting more confident on his Chasin the Racing machine as he ended FP1 fourth quickest.
