HEBBURN Town produced a performance full of grit and discipline to claim all three points from their visit to Prescot Cables and move within a point of the Premier Division playoffs.

Gary Martin put the Hornets in front on the half-hour mark before Jack Donaghy produced a stunning header to double their lead and secure a fine win on Merseyside with quarter of an hour remaining.

Stockton Town occupy the fourth and final playoff spot despite being condemned to a 2-0 defeat at Warrington Town by a goal in each half from Chris Doyle and Niall Watson.

‘There was late drama at Craik Park as struggling Morpeth Town claimed a much-needed win by seeing off Bamber Bridge.
